Wally's Cafe Jazz Club at 427 Massachusetts Avenue in Boston's South End opened in 1947 and is the oldest family-owned jazz club in the world, founded by Barbadian immigrant Joseph Walcott. It has live music every night and an American menu; Billie Holiday and Charlie Parker played here.
