Piece of Cake brings a pastry spot to Columbus, Ohio, just steps from Ohio State University. Owned and run locally, not by a chain headquartered somewhere else entirely. Columbus wouldn't feel quite like Columbus without independently owned spots like this one. No corporate roaster behind this one - just a cafe doing its own thing. Regulars come back for coffee or a quick bite between classes. Part of the fun of a college town like Columbus is finding places like this on your own. Worth adding to the rotation if you're building a list of Columbus favorites.
